Vission and Mission of the Faculty of Islamic Studies

Vision

"To become a leading Islamic Studies Faculty in the development and practice of Islamic sciences at the international level by 2030."

 The word "leading" means that the FAI-UMM's academic community can work creatively and innovatively through the development of consistent and continuous work supported by reliable infrastructure and educational instruments.

"The development of Islamic sciences" means that the FAI-UMM's academic community can carry out the Catur Dharma (Four obligations) of Higher Education creatively (ibda'), innovatively (islah), and sustainably (istimrar).

 "The practice of Islamic sciences" means that the FAI-UMM's academic community is competent in carrying out and mobilizing al-Islam and Muhammadiyah.

"International" means that the FAI-UMM's academic community carries out the Catur Dharma of Higher Education with a national and international perspective.

Mission

1. Developing superior education and learning in the field of Islamic sciences at national and international standards
2. Organizing and developing research in the field of Islamic sciences with a national and international reputation
3. Organizing and developing community service in the field of Islamic sciences at national and international standards
4. Publishing the results of research and community service at national and international standards
5. Organizing and developing cooperation with related institutions in the field of Islamic sciences at the national and international level
6. Organizing and developing education, study, and development of al-Islam and Muhammadiyah.

Objective

Referring to the vision and mission above, the objectives of FAI-UMM are as follows:

1. Produce graduates who are professionals in the field of Islamic sciences at national and international standards
2. Produce research work in the field of Islamic sciences with a national and international reputation
3. Produce community service works in the field of Islamic sciences at national and international standards
4. Produce research publications and community service at national and international standards
5. Produce cooperation with related institutions in the field of national and international Islamic sciences
6. Produce an academic community that animates, practices, and develops al-Islam and Muhammadiyah
