The Program of Islamic Education (PAI) one of the study programs in the Faculty of Islamic Studies, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FAI-UMM). This program is the oldest comparing with others in the university. Accordingly, this program has encouraged itself to become the best PAI Program in the country. It has shown to the public that this program has served the society and education of the coutry with the best quality. It has been adaptable mainly at facing the current development of science and technology, althought its normative stance is based on the Quranic and Prophetic values. Consequently, it has succeded to produce the best alumni those who are adaptable with developments and changes, but they are the best at holding the Islamic principles and values.

• Organising qualified education and teaching for undergraduate degree (S-1) in research-based Islamic studies education.
• Organising research and development in the Islamic field and religious education.
• Organising community service and Islamic dakwah.

OBJECTIVES

Tarbiyah Department Faculty of Islamic Studies University of Muhammadiyah Malang intends to produce Bachelors in the Islamic field and Islamic education who:

• have moral integrity, Islamic science, and Islamic education
• have pedagogical, personal, professional, and social competences.
• have ability in mobilising community in religious fields.
