The O-Weeks Program of the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI UMM) Pesmaba, has proudly opened by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Tobroni, on Wednesday, October 7 of 2020. The program has conducted at the level 9 of the Building 4 UMM. He has congratulated and invited all new students to join in the big family of the FAI UMM. He has added, in addition, that in the process of study, the most important thing is to do any activity emphasising etiquette and ethics.
In the main part of the program, the Dean has offered two essential mottos: FAI the Pioneer and "Tri Pasti" (the exactly three). While the former means that all students and academics of the faculty should be the best example of moral and academic integrity, productivity and achievements, the latter emphasises that the faculty has urged the students (1) to graduate on-time, (2) to get a job, and (3) to have good personality.
After the welcoming seminar by the Dean, the heads of programs of study have introduced each of their programs. The heads have joined in this session are Dr. Umiarso, M.Pd.I (Program of Islamic Education), Arif Zuhri, Lc, M.H.I. (Program of Islamic Family Law), Dr. Rahmad Hakim, M.MA. (Program of Shariah Economics) and Ahmad Fatoni, Lc, M.Ag (Program of Arabic Education). Generally, the heads of programs have socialised the graduation without conducting research and doing undergraduate thesis. They have said that, the strategy to skip the thesis is to publish academic works in accredited journals.[]
